A Walk through the Land of UzMinho

This adventure will take you to Uz, one of the most typical villages and secluded in the Cabeceiras de Basto region, a recently documented in the movie "Back to Earth", which was massively praised in the Cannes Film Festival. Uz is part of a deep and forgotten Portugal, abandoned during the immigrant waves of the 60s and 70s - a typical small village of stone houses, where you can still see buildings topped with thatched roofs and where there is still a small farming community of 49 people. On this visit, we propose a nice pedestrian path about 9 km of reduced difficulty, where it will be possible to see the beautiful and colourful mountains around us in a 360 degree landscape. A small but tasty meal in the old village primary school is also included.
